Do you know the 2020 skincare trends?

Which skincare trend in 2020 has you excited? Every year skincare changes directions, and this year is no exception! The following post explains one such trend. This year many "new" ideas seem to be common-sense skincare practices. The first one I would like to discuss is Microbiome. Microbiome describes the ecosystem of the skin as it relates to the rest of the body. I my opinion this really makes sense. The skin is our largest organ and it protects everything else, so of course, we should think of it in relation to the body as a whole!

Within the ecosystem of our body, we must consider Ph balance, prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics. All of these actions take place mainly in our gut and digestive tract. The old saying"you are what you eat" could not be more accurate than in today's world. Much of our food is filled with fillers, preservatives, and growth-enhancing chemicals. The general consensus is a raw green diet is the best course of action to retain healthy insides and outsides. Add to the greens additions like legumes (lentils, beans, and black peas)and you have the best healthy remedy for many issues.

I have diabetes 2 which has bothered me for many years. I was overweight by 80 pounds and had terrible skin issues like acne. Over the past 8 years I have lost 70lbs of the weight but never really changed my diet, just lowered my intake and exercised. I had skin issues like psoriasis and the beginnings of rheumatoid arthritis. I adopted a healthier raw green diet, legumes, and cut out meat & dairy products. I saw my overall health and skin improve immensely. It takes time and you need to be strict with yourself. I cannot tell you how worth it these changes are, especially in my confidence level. I can wear shorts and short sleeves again without feeling self-conscious everyone was looking at my skin issues

I also changed my attitude toward skincare products. I searched high and low for really natural products. I read the labels and researched the ingredients. Remember skincare products must be like the new diet, healthy, not filled with chemicals and preservatives. This only makes sense when you consider that the body is a Microbiome with its own unique ecosystem. Unique to you alone!

Here is a free tip to help improve many of your body's ecosystems. I have been drinking this for a little over a week and my sugar levels have dropped over 20 points. I feel great to boot!

8ounces of distilled water (cold or room temperature, your choice)

1 teaspoon of Braggs Apple Cider Vinagar

1 teaspoon of Ionic Liquid Magniesium

2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice

Mix it all together and drink until empty.

Do this once a day and feel the difference in a few days. Your gut will feel better, your PH balance will even out, and the vinegar will kill yeast in the system. The magnesium will assist your ecosystem to maintain over 300 enzyme reactions in the body. Who knew? More on the power of magnesium and apple cider vinegar in future posts.

It will taste overpowering but drink it anyway.

Remember beautiful skin starts from the inside!
